During recent years in which the importance of information technology has become inevitable, a new dimension has become prominent: IT systems security. Cyber space which is composed of IT systems that are continuously connected is an infrastructure that should be handled by countries with top priority in terms of security in political, military and strategic aspects.
The activities of Cyber Security Institute (CSI) which was firstly established as the IT Systems Security Division under the National Electronics and Cryptology Research Institute, was aimed at the improvement of the national cyber security capacity in 1997. Since 2012, it has been operating as a separate institute under TÜBİTAK BİLGEM.
The Cyber Security Institute provides information systems and security consultancy services to the public, private and military organizations and conducts research and development activities. The Cyber Security Institute has contributed to the development of IT security know-how through its many successful projects.
